Pregnancy & Birth to 24 Months

Pregnant? Don't under-consume.

Attention, mammas-to-be: If you’re having trouble keeping vitamins down, don’t forget your friend the egg! The 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans name choline as a nutrient that pregnant women and most adults under consume. Two eggs supply nearly 300 mg of choline, more than half the amount recommended for pregnant women.

Babies & eggs

Babies like eggs, too! Eggs are a perfect introductory food (between 4 – 6 months), as
they are soft and easy to consume. Introduce infants to a wide variety of nutritious foods to help them learn to like the foods and establish healthy eating patterns early on.

What allergies?!

Ah, don’t you just love when science progresses? The approach to introducing allergenic foods to infants has changed. Studies now show that feeding common food allergens, such as eggs, when a baby is developmentally ready may actually lessen the chances of developing an allergy to that food!
